Mental health has always been a taboo topic. People do not mind being open about the physical health issues they face. Unfortunately, when it comes to mental health problems, they tend to get uncomfortable. While clinical treatment does help in alleviating mental health issues, there are other non-clinical therapeutic tools that help a lot in promoting mental well-being. Art plays a key role in this. Supporting people to express themselves through Art was the reason behind establishing ‘Ray by Renu’. Ray stands for a “ray of hope”, a “ray of positivity”, a “ray of light” showing path to peace and happiness. In short, ‘Ray by Renu’ helps you to be YOU.
I strongly believe that art is not just for the artists. It is for everyone. Within each of us lies a spark of creativity. I find the strokes of an untrained hand so captivating! Each stroke is therapeutic…the thick or thin brush marks in different colours, some done and redone, some misplaced. Whatever they are, they represent the emotions of the painter. Since art has helped me immensely, I love to share how it is capable of helping you too!

Art plays a very important role in giving peace and comfort to a stressed mind. We use Indian art that facilitates one to de-stress and` re-connect with oneself. The colours, textures and sounds of creation pull you into the moment. As you immerse yourself in the activity, your senses allow you to be mindfully present and enjoy the process of creation.
We use various materials and creative forms in our workshops suitable for therapeutic methods. No, we are not therapists! We offer the experience of enjoying the creating, playing, and experimenting techniques and self-discovery tools.
